WHERE ARE YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ICONS ON YOUR WEBSITE?
Are they in the top menu or header?
Then fuck them off out of there immediately. Seriously.
Preferably down to the footer or onto a contact page.
WHY?
Because you want to keep the user on your website to carry out an action, and that action is not to leave as soon as they arrive.
Yes you may have beautifully curated social media content that you want them to see, but get your ego in check and remember the purpose of your website is to SELL SOMETHING. You want the user to stick around and buy that thing, not be instantly distracted by the pretty pretties.
The other reason you want folk to stick around is that it improves your search engine rankings when people spend time on your website. You do not want them to bounce.
